Water-Based Epoxy Coating System uses Water as its main component.

System Build-Up

The system requires a prepared concrete subfloor that has been shot-blasted or diamond ground and moisture tested. The Europox Z Slow primer serves as the base coat while the equivalent high-bond primer functions as the primer. The Europox RWA water-based epoxy rollcoat serves as the casting layer. The system includes three finish options which are Clear gloss finish and Satin finish and Matt finish.

Technical Details

The system achieves a thickness between 0.2 mm and 0.5 mm. The compressive strength exceeds 50 N/mm² while flexural strength reaches more than 20 N/mm². The system demonstrates more than 1.5 N/mm² of adhesion strength when tested against concrete substrates. The Shore D Hardness measurement ranges between 65 and 70. The Taber Test shows the system withstands less than 150 mg of material loss during 1000 cycles. The system demonstrates resistance to oils and fuels and mild acids and alkalis and salts and cleaning agents. The system operates within a temperature range of +40 °C dry load and +30 °C wet load. The curing process requires:
The surface becomes ready for light foot traffic after 24 hours.
The system requires 3–4 days to achieve full mechanical load capacity.
The system needs 5–7 days to achieve complete chemical resistance.
