A premium poured floor is not priced by colour alone. UK Resin Floors separates the budget into three connected decisions:

Technical system: the build up selected for the required performance and project conditions.
Decorative expression: Mono, Duo, Nature or Terra, according to the visual result being created.
Project conditions: substrate, preparation, moisture, movement, underfloor heating, area, detailing, access, location and programme.

This distinction matters because the same Mono expression could sit within different technical specifications. An Acoustic or reinforced Elite build up cannot be assumed to carry the same cost as a streamlined system on a straightforward substrate.

Why do resin flooring prices vary so much?

1. The technical system is not always the same

“Resin flooring” describes a broad family of surfaces rather than one standard product. A thin coating, a decorative multi layer system, a reinforced build up and an acoustic comfort floor are not equivalent. They can differ in composition, thickness, elasticity, installation requirements, finish and intended use.

FeRFA, the Resin Flooring Association, classifies resin systems by construction and duty, from floor seals and coatings through to multi layer and flow applied systems. 2. The substrate can change the project

The visible surface is only the final part of the floor. Existing tiles, screed, timber, levelling compounds, cracks, joints, contamination, moisture and underfloor heating can each affect how the floor should be prepared and specified.

Grinding, cleaning, repairs, priming, local levelling, moisture control and movement detailing require time, equipment and technical judgement.
